Opening information: A young lady by the name Cassandra Lakatos has posted on Shane Tyree Art Stuio FB page regarding his art, and it's similarity to some art that she has uncovered while sifting through here recently deceased grandfather's study. M has noted that he was once acquainted with the late Mr. Lakatos.
Contact has been made with Cassandra through her FB page as we begin a dialogue with her.
A few items of note Cassandras FB page indicates her roots are in Turkey - The Greek island of Crete, once home to the Minoan empire, is just off the coast. Her profile image is of a Trojan Horse, known to have been used by the Greeks to enter and sack the city of Troy, once located in what is now Turkey.

Cassandra's grandfathers name was Charleston Winters, professor of archaeology focusing on ancient Greece and other cultures.
Also, Inv. Lisa K. noted "The Minoan found in the Lovecraft story hunter of the dark."

I believe based on the article written by Cassandra's grandfather that Dagon may be involved

Consequently and possibly of no value but Cassandra was the prophet who was granted the gifts of a seer by Apollo but when she spurned his advances, he cursed her so that her visions would not be believed. She predicted the fall of Troy, and no one would listen her because of this curse.

Cassandra supplied us with 2 journal pages and a Book Cipher that she found among her grandfather's possessions. One used the 1922 Version of Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass and the other used the 1750 version of Paradise Lost. We came up with references to a storage facility and are having Cassandra look for the facility and call them to see if her grandfather had a unit there.

Hey guys. I'm new to the investigation, and just finished looking through Cassandra's FB page. Has anyone deciphered the "Capablanca" page yet? I know it refers to a chess match between Capablanca and Lord Dunsany in 1929, and I've found the match's transcription. We're looking for a 4-digit number for the unit number, and there are four move listed. I thought it'd be simply finding the turn number for each of those moves and maybe doing a Caesar shift (L -> R, as on the paper), but I'm having some trouble with it becauseā¦ 1. Loss of Queens -- there were no queens lost in the match. 3. Last move -- There are 31 moves in the match, which doesn't map to a letter like I was expecting. The transcription of the game is at www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/dunsany.html

elim, We believe we may have deciphered the clue, and have dropped some thoughts on it over to Cassandra on her FB page. If you have a solution other than what we've come up with though, feel free to drop her a line there as well. There are some recent and intriguing updates there this morning. Here's a link to the FB group if you want to join in the combined efforts there. www.facebook.com/groups/470605089687941/

Thanks, Donnie! Joining the group. Also realised that I was misreading all of the chess moves

AT this point we have located a small wooden box with a combination lock. We have submitted several options for the combination but have not heard back, which may be a bad thing. I think we are just running in circles at this point and may have to start from the beginning if all of our suggestions fail to open the box. What's in the box?? We THINK we know but are waiting with baited breath for the big reveal!

W. Allow me to explain our course of actions in this latest case. Frankly the investigative group is experiencing a growing level of mistrust in your intentions. We've noticed that the artifacts related to the cases we have been working on for you tend to disappear into your private holdings suddenly, with little or no explanation, and no oversight in what is done with them. No one person should have exclusive keeping of such dangerous and influential objects. Additionally, we believe you have yet to disclose the nature of your plans for these artifacts.
Altruism is fine, but we've been made suspicious of your activity. Seamus' case in particular is worth mentioning. That case closed abruptly with a paper thin explanation which you have now contradicted. At the time you stated that Seamus suffered from stress and possibly exposure to a psychotropic drug and subsequently committed to Arkham. With what we have all uncovered previously, we know this was not the case. You yourself have now admitted to Cassandra that it was exposure to the artifact that drove him mad.
For these reasons we elected not to trust your motives and mostly excluded you from our discussions and interactions with Cassandra regarding her grandfathers artifacts. We believe what she holds will be safe with her. The protections keeping the artifacts from the EOD are intact, and we are making a strong recommendation to Cassandra that she continue to keep them and protect their secret as her grandfather did.
I believe that with a bit more transparency, our joint investigations can proceed on a more trusting foot.

Any updates on Cassandra? Last I knew she was in hiding and doing alright but this was a rough call to send her away instead of getting the artifact as far from her as possible.

Do you think Pietr may be heading to her location based on the photo she posted?
